Job Summary:


• Tax Compliance Review:

- Oversee compliance to tax regulations, including filing of returns and corresponding remittances, for both local and national.

- Ensure the filing of returns and remittances are done as scheduled;

- Ensure that applicable tax rates are updated in the computation of tax obligations;

- Review and validate reported revenues and expenses per tax return;

- Evaluate summary listings required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

- Review and compare reported revenues and expenses per books against tax-related reports.


• Tax Assessment Review and Analysis:

- Assist Accounting Heads in evaluating the validity of assessment;

- Calculate and establish actual tax exposure against assessment;

- Draft position paper and gather supporting documents to dispute assessment;

- Recommend available tax remedies to manage tax exposure;

- Prepare reports on the status of on-going tax examinations.


• Budget and Cost Management:

- Evaluate tax position of the Company and recommend ways to save on taxes;

- Monitor tax compliance of each Company to avoid penalties;

- Monitor and ensure timely collection of certificates of creditable withholding taxes and timing of application.


• Tax Planning: Assist in the implementation of tax planning activities to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements;


• Tax Updates;

Qualification and Requirements:


•  Graduate of BS Accountancy


•  CPA Board Passer


•  Good Leadership Skills


•  With more than 5 years of progressive experience in Tax Accounting


•  With established foundation and experience in the overall general accounting functions, including taxation, financial reporting and administration/ management of accounting system


•  Has strong analytical, good communication skills and has the ability to manage various tasks & deadlines


•   Proficient in MS Office applications especially in MS Excel
