Position Title: Full time Kitchen Steward

Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor

Department: Back of House / Kitchen

Work Location: Tordesillas Makati City

Position Summary

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, dishwashing area, storage, and back-of-house facilities. This role supports the culinary team by ensuring a safe, hygienic, and efficient working environment in a small kitchen setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize all kitchenware, utensils, pots, pans, and dishes using manual and/or machine methods.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including floors, walls, sinks, counters, and storage areas.
  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
  • Properly segregate and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Handle cleaning supplies and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Support cooks and chefs with basic prep tasks when needed (e.g., peeling, carrying ingredients).
  • Organize and maintain cleaning tools, chemicals, and supplies in designated storage.
  • Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Preferably with experience in a stewarding or kitchen helper role.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to lift/carry heavy items when needed.
  • Flexible schedule, willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions
