Sewer - Garments

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for sewing all cut parts of fabric into finished products on a per operation basis. Ensures that standard specifications are followed and only quality goods are produced.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sews all cut parts of fabric into finished products.

1.1 Ensures that all finished products are in conformance with the company's quality standard specifications.

1.2 Follows sewing instructions from superior to avoid repairs.

1.3 Reports to the Line Leader any problems encountered while sewing. This includes but not limited to sewing machine troubles, material and cutting defects.

1.4 Checks sewing handling techniques at all times.

1.5 Asks the Line Leader or Work In-Process Quality Assurance for the types of rejects or defects to be observed on assigned operation to produce quality products.

1.6 Decides whether the sewn goods can be passed on to the next operation.

1. Meets the operation target quota.

2.1 Sews in a dynamic but cautious manner.

2.2 Observes safety guidelines at all times.

2.3 Ensures a high degree of concentration and total focus when sewing.

1. Counts the quantity per bundle received.

3.1 Reports to the Line Leader any discrepancy in quantity of the bundle vs. ticket for verification and retrieval of uncounted pieces.

3.2 Reports to the Line Leader any discrepancy in stock number and size vs. ticket for checking and correction at the least possible time to prevent on-hold bundles.

1. Does repair on sewn goods with defects if and when necessary.

4.1 Ensures completion of repairs on the specified date and time set by the superior.

4.2 Ensures quality product after repair.

1. Accomplishes and submits the Daily Individual Report (DIR).

5.1 Reports the actual output for the day.

5.2 Indicates the first name, middle initial and last name on the left portion of ticket for proper

5.3 Records all pertinent data of output on the individual record notebook.

1. Monitors the good condition of assigned sewing machine.

6.1 Maintains the cleanliness of working area and the machine assigned to her.

6.2 Checks the machine's peripherals and reports to the Line Leader any inconsistencies.

6.3 Accomplishes the Machine Repair Request Slip (MRRS) to report machine trouble/breakdown and submits the same to the Line Leader.

1. Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Elementary or High school diploma
• Previous experience working in manufacturing is an advantage
• With working experience in garment/apparel industry is an advantage
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good working attitude

Office Location: Project 8, Quezon City

Pay: Php695.00 per day
