Full job description
- Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services according to company needs.
- Help prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data to ensure accurate management to purchasing information
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and confirm order details.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in forecasting needs to avoid shortages and overstock situations.
- Perform supplier evaluations and maintain an updated list of approved suppliers.
- Assist in resolving any procurement-related issues, including discrepancies in orders or invoices.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, trends, and savings for management review.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the purchasing department, including filing and documentation.
- Maintains harmonious relationship with the SBMA, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensures that all processes, guidelines, policies, and procedures within the Department are properly documented and strictly enforced or implemented.
- Ensures that all personnel adhere to or strictly follow the guidelines, policies, and procedures that are part of a comprehensive safety program.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Department Head.
