Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial principles, enabling them to provide exceptional service to our clients. This role involves preparing tax returns, conducting financial audits, and advising clients on various financial matters. The Senior Tax Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax laws while identifying opportunities for financial planning and asset management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Conduct thorough financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on tax-related issues, including securities law and asset management.
  • Assist clients in understanding complex financial concepts and implications of their decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Xero to manage client accounts effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for optimizing clients' tax positions.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and financial regulations to provide informed guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in tax preparation and financial auditing.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts and practices.
  • Familiarity with debits, credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and relevant accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certification (CPA or EA) is preferred but not required.
