Job Overview/Purpose

Performs complete ECG (Adult or Pedia), Holter Monitoring, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, and Treadmill Stress Test (under the supervision of Cardiologist) accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  1. Operates ECG machine and obtain 15 lead ECG or 12 lead ECG tracing of patients (out-patients, in-patients or ER patients) referred to the Cardiovascular Laboratory.

  2. Operates the Treadmill machine and performs the requested exercise protocol in the presence of the Cardiologist.

  3. Prepares the Holter Monitoring device/ Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring device and performs the requested test. Scans the recorded data and prepares copy of the data for interpretation by the Cardiologist.

  4. Responsible for obtaining patient history and data at time of exam, prepares patient for the procedure, positions patient as appropriate for prescribed procedure, and assists patient at completion of procedure.

  5. Available for emergency ECG, Holter Monitoring, ABPM Monitoring and Treadmill Stress Test procedures even after office hours and holidays.

  6. Maintains proper care and cleanliness of ECG, Treadmill Stress Test Machine, Holter Recorder & scanner machine, and ABPM device. Log problems and coordinate to the Chief Cardiovascular Technologist.

  7. Prepare reports accordingly, encodes and print ECG, Stress Test, Holter and ABPM test results accomplished by the Cardiologist, and file the results promptly.

  8. Complies with IMS standards.

  9. Performs other Cardiovascular related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
