Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform 2D echocardiograms (transthoracic and/or transesophageal) on patients as ordered by physicians.
  • Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring proper functioning and image quality.
  • Position patients correctly and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Capture high-quality images for interpretation by a cardiologist or physician.
  • Measure cardiac structures and evaluate heart function using Doppler, M-mode, and 2D imaging.
  • Record findings accurately and maintain patient records and reports.
  • Assist with stress echocardiograms or contrast echocardiography if trained and required.
  • Follow infection control and patient safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Stay updated with advancements in echocardiographic techniques and equipment.
