Job Roles and Responsibilities*

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SysOps Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a SysOps Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure and systems. You will be responsible for managing, automating, and optimizing our operational processes, collaborating closely with development and other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage our infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • System Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux/Unix and/or Windows systems.

  • Automation: Automate operational tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

  • Deployment and Release Management: Support the deployment and release of applications and services, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.

  • Monitoring and Performance: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve system issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.

  • Security: Implement and enforce security best practices to protect our systems and data from threats.

  • Troubleshooting and Incident Response: Respond to and resolve system incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in SysOps and DevOps, and drive continuous improvement in our operational practices.

On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

Job Qualifications*

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Years of experience as a SysOps Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix or Windows system administration.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).

  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).

  • Understanding of security best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • A proactive and automation-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications is a plus (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator).

  • Experience with database administration (e.g., MySQL and Oracle).
