Job Summary

The IT QA Associate is responsible for executing test plans, identifying bugs, and validating feature functionality across the company's software systems. This role ensures that applications meet quality standards by documenting test results, collaborating with developers, and coordinating with the Project Management Office (PMO). The role is also expected to perform duties as an IT Business Analyst as necessary, supporting requirements gathering, documentation, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated test cases based on project requirements.
  • Log, track, and verify reported defects and applied fixes.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test scripts, results, and issue reports.
  • Conduct regression, exploratory, and performance testing to ensure system stability.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and QA planning sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA team members, and PMO to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements when acting as a Business Analyst.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
  • Recommend process, testing, and documentation improvements to enhance software reliability and user satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in software testing or quality assurance is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of test case design, execution, and bug tracking processes.
  • Familiarity with QA tools such as TestRail, JIRA, or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Basic understanding of frontend and backend systems.
  • Ability to perform business analysis tasks such as requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both technical and business-facing.

Educational Requirement

  • Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; relevant internship or QA/BA experience is a plus.
