POSITION DESCRIPTION: COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Position Overview: Infinity Financial, a leading financial services firm, is in search of a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Service Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our esteemed team. This pivotal role requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to provide exceptional financial services to our diverse client base. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping tasks, and delivering tailored accounting solutions to meet our clients' needs effectively.

Candidates must have 3-5 years of accounting experience and hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Philippine citizenship is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Management: Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Tasks include recording transactions, managing accounts payable/receivable, and updating general ledger entries.
  2. Bookkeeping Duties: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including reconciling bank statements, processing invoices, and managing payroll activities. Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions to facilitate smooth business operations.
  3. Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique financial requirements and provide personalized accounting solutions. Build strong relationships based on trust, reliability, and exceptional service delivery. Prior client service experience in financial services is required.
  4. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory filings in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. Generate comprehensive reports to provide insights into clients' financial performance and facilitate informed decision-making.
  5. Financial Analysis: Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  6. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies to mitigate risks and uphold ethical standards. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure adherence to best practices.
  7. Technology Utilisation: Leverage accounting software and tools proficiently to streamline processes, automate routine tasks, and enhance efficiency. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to optimise accounting operations. Proficiency in Xero accounting software is required.
  8. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain open and effective communication channels with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Address inquiries, provide updates, and resolve issues promptly to foster positive relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes, procedures, and systems. Identify opportunities for optimisation, implement best practices, and contribute to the overall enhancement of departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
