Senior Manager

Education: Graduate of any four (4) or five (5) year Chemistry-related course.

Professional License: Registered Chemist

Work Experience: With at least five (5) years related experience in chemical manufacturing industry and handling a team; With at least three (3) years as QC/R&D manager; With at least three (3) years experience in quality assurance and implementation of ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

Operational Responsibilities:

1. Monitors all activities related to daily quality control of raw materials, finished products,

traded products and packaging materials and ensures adherence to established

procedures in Management System (SMS) and identifies strategies for

improvement.

2. Develops and implements sustainability and efficiency strategies to enhance product

performance, localize formulations and other projects that can improve material margin

through collaboration with Target Market and Procurement team.

3. Identify the requirements of the laboratory and lab personnel by preparing annual

CAPEX and OPEX; and ensures its completion and adherence to the plan.

4. Takes active participation as Local Expert Team (LET) member and leads R&D-related

projects in the Innovation Portal (SIP). Ensures that projects registered in SIP are

complete and rolled out in a timely manner.

5. Collaborates with the Procurement Team to ensure that all R&D structural savings are

registered in the Procurement Portal (SPP), including raw material approvals

(new or alternative)

6. Conduct tests to evaluate trial formulations in accordance with local and international

standards; provide data analysis and final disposition or approvals.

7. Reviews and approves product test certificates as required by customers.

8. Responsible for requesting SGAN code from Corporate Material Masterdata and

encodes in AX. Creates BOM and has the authority to revise BOM (if needed) in AX.

Also has access to creation of items in Galileo software as well as activation of BOM

indices.

9. Reviews and approves Product data sheet generated by the target market in

PDS2PIM.

10. Prepares consolidated report of all active sites for QC/R&D and submits to the General

Manager

11. Involved in the validation of BOM relevant to all pricing or costing reviews of locally

manufactured products

12. Lead the QC/R&D team in conducting root cause analysis of product quality-related

customer complaints; monitor implementation of the necessary corrective actions

13. Participate in Management Committee and Executive Committee Meetings and its

relevant activities

14. Collaborate with Regional or Corporate R&D for additional support to local operations

15. Ensure that identified training needs and competency improvement programs of the

QC and R&D team members are executed

15. Conducts annual KPI settings and approves performance evaluation of the QC and

R&D team

16. Approves laboratory personnel leaves and official business trips in ESS for direct

reports

17. Encourages engagement in the different events

18. Escalate personnel concerns to the Human Resource Department; and implement

disciplinary actions (if necessary)

Participate in supplier audit and internal audit; as well as development or improvement

and implementation of quality systems

19. Identify continuous improvement strategies relevant to departmental processes

20. Ensures safety in the laboratory by identifying and providing the safety controls and

tools needed for each QC and R&D function; and maintaining a good environment

21. Adheres to the established Quality and Environmental

Management System and Quality Policy.

22. Actively participates in all . projects regarding quality and the

environment and fully supports and acts in accordance with the Company policy.

23. Comply with necessary ISO procedures in accordance to ISO 9001:2015, ISO

14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

24. Ensures that all practices are in accordance with operating standards and strictly

complies with the company policies, systems and procedures, work rules and

regulations
