Position Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing production planning, inventory management, and purchasing activities to ensure efficient production operations. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Warehouse, Purchasing, and Import/Export to maintain a steady production flow while managing resources effectively. The Assistant Manager also approves key documents and manages production control systems to meet business objectives.

Scope and Responsibilities

Production Planning and Procurement


• Develop and manage long-term production plans for P1 and P2 lines, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts.


• Analyze and approve production schedules, verifying alignment with production goals and resource availability.


• Oversee production control processes, including the computation and allocation of man-hours for P1 and P2 lines to optimize resource use.


• Check quotations for raw materials, update standard price lists, and input accurate pricing data into the system to support cost-effective procurement.


• Approve Purchase Vouchers, Admin Purchase Orders (POs), and Sales Vouchers in the system for streamlined procurement and revenue tracking.


• Maintain production and inventory records, analyzing performance data and preparing monthly production reports.

Warehouse Management


• Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and improve accuracy.


• Conduct regular inventory analyses and check results, providing recommendations for stock adjustments as necessary.


• Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimize storage, order fulfillment, and material handling processes.


• Ensure all production-related data is accurately inputted in the MC Frame System and other relevant software to maintain up-to-date warehouse records.

Project Management


• Lead projects focused on production planning improvements, inventory control, and procurement process optimization.


• Develop project plans and timelines for key initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.


• Coordinate cross-functional projects with teams from production, procurement, and warehouse departments to ensure smooth execution and alignment with company objectives.


• Monitor project progress, manage resources effectively, and report on project status to stakeholders.

Strategic Planning


• Participate in strategic planning efforts, contributing insights on production control, procurement, and warehouse management.


• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within production and procurement processes.


• Develop and implement strategies for resource planning and inventory optimization to support long-term production goals.


• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing production needs, inventory levels, and procurement costs.

Leadership and People Management


• Lead and mentor the production control and procurement team, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented work environment.


• Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance skills and support career growth.


• Ensure clear communication of production goals, timelines, and quality standards to the team.


• Approve and oversee team members' reports, ensuring data accuracy and relevance in production and procurement decisions.

Other Related Tasks


• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the PCP team and ensure efficient operations.


• Assist with special projects or initiatives related to PCP team as needed.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field., MA or MBA is a Plus


• At least 5 years of experience in production control, planning, or procurement within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role.


• Strong understanding of production planning, procurement, and inventory management principles, including familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., MC Frame) and production control software.


• Proven ability to analyze data, interpret production metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize production and procurement processes.


• Experience in leading cross-functional projects, managing timelines, and meeting strategic objectives.


• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead a team.
