Job Summary

The Electrical Technician for Automation and Innovation will support the Engineering Team in executing special projects, automation upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This role ensures efficient project implementation by providing hands-on electrical installation, programming support, troubleshooting, and equipment enhancement to improve productivity, reliability, and safety of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, wiring, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems related to automation, controls, and project-based equipment.
  • Support the implementation of automation and improvement projects, including sensors, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and fast resolution.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and engineering teams for electrical requirements, technical reviews, and project execution.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on project-installed systems and electrical components.
  • Fabricate, modify, and assemble electrical panels, junction boxes, and machine wiring as needed.
  • Assist in preparing project documentation such as wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and technical reports.
  • Conduct testing, calibration, and verification of automation components to ensure proper function and integration.
  • Recommend improvements or upgrades to existing electrical systems to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and internal engineering standards.
  • Provide technical support during machine trials, process automation activities, and new equipment commissioning.
  • Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned during project executions.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or any related technical course.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical or Automation Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, control schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Skilled in using electrical tools, testing instruments, and basic programming/debugging interfaces.
  • Good understanding of safety protocols, electrical codes, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a project team.
  • Willing to work in Valenzuela City.
