About This Role:

We're looking for a technically sharp and analytical Data Analyst (SQL-focused) to support the data needs of one of our trusted clients. In this role, you'll play a key part in transforming raw data into insightful reports that guide strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of SQL, enjoys problem-solving through data, and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights

  • Support ETL processes and ensure clean, validated data flows

  • Maintain and optimize database performance and data structures

  • Deliver insightful reports and dashboards to stakeholders

  • Identify and resolve data quality issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify data requirements

  • Maintain documentation for data processes and database structures

  • Ensure data security, accuracy, and compliance standards

  • Utilize MS Pilot-like tools to craft SQL on top of uploaded data models

  • Stay current with analytics best practices and tools

Software/Platforms/Tools:

  • PostgreSQL

  • SQL (advanced level)

  • Looker (preferred)

  • Tableau or Power BI (a plus)

  • Google Sheets or Excel

  • Shopify (a plus)

  • Git or version control tools (a plus)

  • ETL tools and data pipelines

  • Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace

  • Project management tools (e.g., )

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of freelancing experience

  • Strong experience in SQL development and performance tuning

  • Proven background in data analysis and reporting

  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and large datasets

  • Experience using tools similar to Microsoft Pilot for SQL crafting on uploaded datasets

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus

  • A background in e-commerce data is a bonus

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment
