Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute audit plans based on risk assessments and organizational priorities.
  • Prepare detailed audit programs and schedules.
  • Identify areas of potential risk within the organization.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Perform audits of various departments, processes, or systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Gather and analyze data through interviews, document reviews, and observations.
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Present findings to management and suggest corrective actions.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure that corrective actions are taken.
  • Reassess areas previously audited to evaluate the effectiveness of changes.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Provide advice and guidance on risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies or procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Preferably with Advanced degrees or certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 3+ years of previous experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field is usually required.
  • Amenable to travel from time to time

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit-related software.
