The Data Engineer/Modeler supports the Data Management function by designing and delivering high-quality, integrated data products across key business domains, including Retail, Wholesale, Risk, and Finance. Operating in a Hybrid Set-up and on a Mid-shift (10 AM - 7 PM), this role plays a critical part in enabling advanced analytics, ensuring data consistency and compliance with internal frameworks, and enhancing data-driven decision-making across globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solve complex data challenges and perform advanced analysis across business domains
  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, architects, and stakeholders to refine data requirements
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models and mappings
  • Create functional designs for reporting and analytics solutions
  • Support metadata and data management standards and ensure seamless integration with engineering teams
  • Conduct functional testing and validation to ensure data accuracy and quality
  • Define requirements for data quality, lineage, and governance
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback to improve team output
  • Ensure compliance with internal data policies and frameworks
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in data warehousing or engineering, preferably in the banking sector but not required
  • Preferably with experience in PySpark on Azure or any equivalent technologies
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and end-to-end pipeline delivery
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, architecture, mapping, profiling, and Agile methodologies
  • Advanced SQL skills across data warehouse and big data environments
  • Familiarity with banking concepts, especially in retail, is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about learning, asking the right questions, and driving results
