Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dump trucks to transport materials to designated locations
  • Load and unload materials safely, using appropriate procedures
  • Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues; report defects
  • Monitor and maintain fluid levels, tire pressure, and other key components
  • Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards
  • Maintain clean and organized vehicle interiors and exteriors
  • Keep accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance needs
  • Assist with site-related duties as needed, including basic equipment checks or guidance during loading
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other site personnel
  • Ensure secure and proper covering of loads (e.g., tarping) during transport

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or appropriate local truck license
  • Proven experience driving dump trucks or heavy vehicles (1–3 years preferred)
  • Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and safe hauling practices
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform pre-trip inspections
  • Good physical condition with ability to lift, bend, and climb as required
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and time management

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
  • Certification in defensive driving or heavy equipment operation
  • Experience working on construction or mining sites
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems or digital logbooks

Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment environments
  • May require early morning, evening, weekend, or overtime work depending on project needs
