About the role...
We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Paraplanner to support our team of Financial Planners in creating personalized financial plans and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Financial Planners in conducting client meetings and gathering financial data.
- Research financial products and strategies to ensure recommendations are in the best interest of the client.
- Analyze client information and prepare cash flow analyses, investment projections, and retirement planning scenarios.
- Develop comprehensive financial plans and reports for clients, including but not limited to investment strategies, estate planning, risk management, and retirement planning.
- Draft written advice and provide technical financial planning support.
- Liaise with product providers and other third parties to gather detailed product and service information.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial legislation, market trends, and product developments.
- Utilize financial planning software to model financial scenarios and create reports.
- Collaborate with the administration team to ensure that all paperwork and client documentation is accurate and complete.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, or financial planning.
- Diploma of Financial Planning (DFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is highly regarded.
- Proven experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar role within a financial planning or wealth management environment.
- Strong understanding of financial strategies, products, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
