As we build our brand from the ground up, we're looking for passionate, driven, and service-oriented Commissary Staff or Kitchen Staff to join our growing team. Job Summary:
The Commissary Staff is responsible for supporting daily operations of the central kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting in food production, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that food safety and quality standards are consistently met. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all branches and outlets receive timely, accurate, and high-quality food supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Production- Assist in measuring, cutting, peeling, marinating, portioning, and packing ingredients and food items based on standard recipes.
- Operate kitchen equipment (mixers, slicers, ovens, etc.) safely and efficiently.
- Follow production schedules to meet daily commissary requirements for branches/outlets.
- Quality & Food Safety Compliance - Ensure all food handling practices comply with sanitation and food safety standards (HACCP / DOH guidelines).
- Monitor freshness of ingredients, proper storage, and correct labeling of products.
- Report any issues regarding product quality or safety to immediate supervisor.
- Inventory & Stock Management- Receive and check deliveries of raw materials against purchase orders.
- Assist in proper storage (chiller, freezer, dry storage) following FIFO (First In, First Out).
- Report low stock levels, spoilage, or discrepancies to the Commissary Supervisor.
- Sanitation & Maintenance- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of workstations, equipment, and the commissary area at all times.
- Follow cleaning schedules for utensils, machines, and kitchen facilities.
- Observe proper waste disposal practices.
- Teamwork & Compliance- Coordinate with fellow commissary staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Commissary Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications
- At least a college-level or College Graduate with a course related to culinary/food service is an advantage.
- Preferably with experience in a central kitchen, commissary, or food service environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
- Physically fit, can lift moderately heavy loads, and can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
