We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our finance team in Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations, preparing and reviewing tax returns. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to manage tax obligations effectively and support business decision-making through accurate tax reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of tax returns for individual, company, trust and partnership (primarily, Class A clients)
  • Identify financial statements discrepancy
  • Computation of CGT and depreciation schedule
  • Prepare and complete workpapers
  • Prepare the Intercompany Loan Reconciliations, calculate div7a interest and minimum div7a loan repayments.
  • Prepare the Hire Purchase worksheet to calculate the interest expense and breakdown of current and non-current loan balances.
  • Save client notes and client documents to relevant client folders
  • Meet deadlines for tax compliance
  • Initiate improvement ideas, as necessary
  • Other ad-hoc tasks that may be required by immediate supervisor
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate
  • 3-5 years of working experience of AU tax
  • Xero accounting tool experience required
  • Amenable to work once a month onsite at Eastwood, Quezon City (Team Collaboration)
