Purpose of the Job:

A Head Mechanic runs diagnostic test on vehicles, replacing engine parts transmission components, repairing system steering mechanism and determine if the property fixed the maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform monthly maintenance of truck fleets and equipment.

  2. Delegate and schedule the repairs depending on the urgency.

  3. Ensure proper safety measures when working and clean working environment.

  4. Verify driver reports and make necessary repairs if necessary.

  5. Assist in training assistant mechanics and drivers.

  6. Rescue of trucks in case of breakdown.

Qualifications:

  • With at least 3-5 years of experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Isuzo engine transmission and under chassis (i.e. 12 PC, 12 PE, 12 PD, 6WF, 6WG & 6NX) is a must.
  • Knowledgeable on International Harvester (IH) trucks (NTC 315) is an advantage.
