Job Summary:

The Roving Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that products are properly displayed, adequately stocked, and well-maintained across multiple retail locations. This role requires mobility and flexibility to travel between stores, implement merchandising standards, and support promotional activities to drive product visibility and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit assigned stores/outlets regularly based on route plan.
  • Ensure proper product placement and adherence to planograms and merchandising standards.
  • Replenish shelves and display areas with stocks from the store's warehouse or backroom.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the sales team or store personnel for stock replenishment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned shelves and display areas.
  • Set up and maintain promotional displays and signages as instructed.
  • Coordinate with store personnel and build good relationships with store managers and staff.
  • Submit daily/weekly activity reports including store visit logs, photos, and feedback.
  • Monitor product movement, expiration dates, and report issues such as out-of-stock, near-expiry, or damaged goods.
  • Collect market intelligence such as competitor activities, pricing, and promotions.
  • Ensure that all marketing and POS materials are properly placed and updated.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate; college level or graduate preferred.
  • With at least 1 year of experience in merchandising or retail sales.
  • Willing to travel/roam around assigned locations.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to carry and arrange products and displays.
  • Knowledge of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or retail environment is an advantage.
  • Can work with minimal supervision and has good time management skills.
