About the Role

We're hiring a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and manage the infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines that power our products. You'll manage CI/CD workflows, containerise applications, provision cloud environments, and monitor system health to ensure reliability and scalability.

This role is for a hands-on problem solver who thrives in unstructured environments and enjoys building systems from the ground up. You'll be the bridge between developers and production, enabling the team to ship faster, more securely, and with fewer bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for automated deployments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Monitor and maintain system uptime using tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot deployment issues and improve release processes.
• Implement security best practices in cloud and deployment pipelines.

First 30 Days

• Establish a working CI/CD pipeline for at least one core service.
• Containerise at least one application and deploy it to a staging environment.

By Day 60

• Automate infrastructure provisioning for key environments.
• Deploy at least one service to production via container orchestration with zero downtime.

By Day 90

• Implement monitoring and alerting with clear response protocols.
• Reduce deployment times by at least 25% through pipeline optimisation.

• 3–5 years' hands-on DevOps experience in product-led companies or consultancies.
• Proven track record with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong Linux administration skills (preferably in PHP-hosting environments).
• Experience automating processes for legacy and modern stacks.
• Able to work independently in a lean team without extensive documentation.
• Clear communication skills for collaborating with developers and stakeholders.
