JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Conveys to nursing staff the recommendations of Infection Control Committee for hospital wide implementation
  • Documents nosocomial infections identified within IPC programs
  • Records all incidents related to IPC for statistical reporting
  • Undertakes work activities in conformity with the institutional guidelines on safety infection control; participates in the Quality Assurance program.
  • Collate type of infection and infecting organism during outbreak investigation and surveillance of hospital acquired infections (HAI)

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with valid PRC license
  • Requires clinical or disease surveillance experience and basic competency in Infection Control
  • Training in Infection Prevention and Control under Hospital Infection Control Society (PHICS) and Philippine Hospital Infection Control Nurse Association (PHICNA) is a plus
