LifeAsia Developer

Qualifications:

• Coding experience in COBOL and AS400
• Experience in creating Business Objects in AS400

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance LifeAsia insurance system applications using COBOL programming language.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, code, test, debug, and implement COBOL programs and modules within the LifeAsia environment.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of COBOL programs to ensure efficient processing and resource utilization.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for LifeAsia system issues, including investigating and resolving production incidents.
• Work closely with database administrators to ensure seamless integration with DB400 databases and optimize database performance.
• Perform system analysis and impact assessment for proposed changes and enhancements to the LifeAsia system.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentorship of junior developers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, project management, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to LifeAsia and COBOL development.
