The AutoCAD Engineer is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. This role supports design and engineering teams by translating concepts, sketches, and specifications into detailed 2D or 3D drawings used for manufacturing, construction, or technical implementation. The AutoCAD Engineer ensures all drawings comply with industry standards, technical requirements, and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:1. Drafting & Design

  • Prepare detailed 2D/3D technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD.
  • Translate engineering or architectural concepts into precise working drawings.
  • Revise drawings based on feedback and design changes.

2. Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating with other departments for technical integration or updates.
  • Attend meetings or site visits when needed to gather information for accurate drawings.

3. Documentation & Standards

  • Ensure all drawings follow internal standards, industry codes, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain organized files and drawing databases for easy reference and future revisions.
  • Support documentation for permitting, procurement, or construction.

4. Quality Assurance

  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
  • Identify potential design conflicts or issues and propose solutions.
  • Conduct self-checks and support peer reviews to ensure high-quality output.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting Technology, Architecture, or related field
  • Proven experience (2+ years) using AutoCAD in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering standards
  • Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
