We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounting Specialistto support our growing finance team. This role is critical in providing administrative and accounting support to ensure smooth financial operations while freeing up the Head of Finance and leadership team to focus on strategic initiatives. If you're motivated, organized, and eager to grow in finance, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support

• Manage the finance inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
• Handle supplier setup and process local invoice payments
• Process sales reimbursements and company expense claims
• Maintain vehicle compliance requirements (Rego, WOF, RUC)
• Update daily cashbooks to ensure accurate cash flow records

Finance & Accounting Assistance

• Provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support to the Head of Finance
• Assist with monthly management reports, including analysis and commentary
• Support offshore team with supplier invoice processing and reconciliations
• Maintain and monitor the fixed asset register
• Assist with journal entries to ensure financial record accuracy
• Prepare and journal weekly payroll

Month-End & Year-End Support

• Assist offshore team in month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare supporting reconciliations and documentation
• Assist in producing management accounts for the leadership team

Reporting & Analysis

• Help prepare clear, concise, and meaningful financial reports to support decision-making

Ad Hoc Support

• Provide additional assistance on finance projects and other administrative tasks as required

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant experience
• Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (preferred)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and systems
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
