Merchandising Assistant for Branded Apparel (Lacoste)

OVERVIEW :

Merchandising Assistant who can manage a group or category of products for our company.

Responsible for the negotiating and overall promotion of a product category to maximize consumer appeal.

Relationships with vendors and product range management will also be part of your duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Develop category and subcategory strategies: brand & product assortment, manage margin, pricing competitiveness, sales and promotions, while driving sales and profit margin.

  • Achieve sales target, discount limits and total inventory turn for the assigned merchandise category.

  • To maintain effective merchandise planning: including expanding product assortment, new brands suggestion, and seasonal/exclusive merchandise.

  • Keep updated on industry development with an ability to analyze past data and forecast market trends.

  • Drive overall sales volumes by ensuring standard margin, pricing competitiveness, and stock availability/forecast of key brands within the category.

  • Negotiate on price promotion, seasonal mark-down, merchandise support (GWP, discount, exclusive) with suppliers.

  • Work in close partnership with Marketing Team: to enhance product visibility, improve sale performance by brand through product selection and campaigns; while ensure adequate stock level, margin and bottom line target.

  • Work in close partnership with Operation and Supply Chain to ensure cost-effective delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Create monthly purchasing plan in alignment with sale target and marketing promotion.

  • Weekly & Monthly Merchandising reports on the KPIs, business performance.

  • Take ownership of new initiatives to improve user experience on website.

EDUCATION : Graduate of a 4 year Business Course

WORK EXPERIENCE : With a least 2 -3 years of similar work experience in a retail industry
