Job Description:
The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies, and safeguarding company assets. The role focuses on branch operations, inventory accuracy, cash management, and adherence to company and regulatory standards within Farmstation Agri-Vet.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular and surprise audits of Farmstation Agri-Vet branches.
Review and verify cash sales, collections, deposits, and petty cash.
Audit inventory records, including feeds, veterinary medicines, vaccines, and agricultural supplies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
Validate accuracy of sales reports, purchase records, and stock movements.
Identify risks, discrepancies, fraud indicators, or operational inefficiencies.
Prepare audit findings, reports, and recommendations for management.
Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with branch managers and head office on audit concerns.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping at branch level.
Assist in improving audit procedures and internal control systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or related course.
CPA is an advantage but not required.
Experience
At least 1–2 years experience in internal auditing, accounting, or finance.
Experience in retail, agri-vet, or farm supply business is an advantage.
Familiarity with branch operations, inventory systems, and POS.
