Duties and Responsibilities
Tax Compliance Support
Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (BIR Forms).
Help ensure timely payment of VAT/Percentage Tax, Withholding Taxes, and Income Tax.
Assist in reconciling sales, purchases, and expenses with tax reports.
Support monitoring of proper issuance and recording of Official Receipts across branches.
Help prepare schedules and documents for BIR audits, assessments, and tax mapping.
Government and Statutory Compliance
Assist in monitoring and filing government reports and remittances:
SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG
Support renewal and documentation of:
Business permits, Mayor's Permit, BIR registrations
Coordinate with government offices for submissions, follow-ups, and clarifications as needed.
Documentation and Record-Keeping
Maintain organized files of tax returns, payment confirmations, permits, and licenses.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of compliance documents.
Assist in updating compliance trackers and calendars.
Internal Coordination
Coordinate with Accounting, HR, and Branch personnel to collect required compliance data.
Provide basic guidance to branch staff regarding tax and compliance documentation.
Assist in implementing internal compliance procedures and controls.
Other Duties
Stay updated on basic tax and compliance regulations.
Perform other tasks related to tax, compliance, and reporting as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field
At least 1 year experience in accounting, tax, or compliance (fresh graduates may be considered)
Basic knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR requirements
Experience in retail or multi-branch companies is an advantage
Detail-oriented and well-organized
Basic proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Good communication and coordination skills
Willingness to learn and adapt
High level of integrity and confidentiality
