Business Transformation Consultant - Program Management Specialist
The opportunity
SGV's Business Transformation practice is seeking motivated, creative and dynamic professionals who are practical, rigorous and driven to deliver tangible results.
As a Business Transformation Consultant, you will be part of a team who guides organizations in executing their growth strategies by defining, designing and delivering meaningful enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Your key responsibilities
As a Program Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in the following capacity:
Program/Project Management Methods: Design and implement a bespoke program/project management operating model, including the setup of a PMO or a Transformation Management Office.
- Understand and assess clients' project management ways of working
- Prepare materials to be used in client discussions and workshops
- Co-facilitate discussions and workshops with clients to help them reimagine their project management processes and practices.
- Formulate recommendations to improve clients' project management processes, practices, and tools.
- Program/Project Delivery Execution: Enabling our clients define, implement, and manage complex programs and projects from delivery strategy to execution.
Program Management
- Contribute to defining the program within the organization, focused on identifying strategic plan objectives and program outcomes.
- Assist in the oversight of the delivery of programs and related projects to ascertain cohesion of program elements, and to ascertain achievement of strategic objectives and outcomes.
- Collaborate with project managers to coordinate and monitor project plans, ensuring effective integration and alignment of risks and issues, assumptions, timelines, budget, resources and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Consolidate and evaluate program-level risks and issues, and assist in identifying and implementing appropriate mitigation and resolution plans.
- Monitor utilization and analyze resource requirements across projects in the program to help in the allocation and optimization of program resources.
- Facilitate program cadences with project and program teams, including review of minutes of meetings and tracking of action items.
- Prepare program status updates and reports to stakeholders, subject to review by the immediate supervisor.
- Assist in the preparation for and facilitation of program reporting with senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct and facilitate data collection and analysis to monitor overall performance against program objectives and outcomes.
- Proactively manage and monitor changes to program scope.
Project Management
- Define and initiate projects by establishing a comprehensive project plan that outlines the project's objectives, scope, timelines and resources, aligning with the program's strategic objectives and desired outcomes.
- Lead the delivery of high-quality project outcomes on time, within scope and within budget.
- Manage and monitor project logs, including project plans, risks and issues logs, project budget, and resource plans.
- Prepare and present project status reports and stakeholder communication materials.
- Conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders, continuously considering their needs and requirements.
- Manage project change request.
You will work closely with a Program Manager who will oversee your work in client engagements.
Apart from your responsibilities to our clients, you are expected to:
- Develop and maintain your personal training and development plan to ensure you continue to update and improve your skill profile on an ongoing basis.
- Adhere to the independence, quality and risk management policies of the firm.
- Co-facilitate training and workshops, if any.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information systems and other related fields.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in program and project management, including supporting program delivery and leading individual projects as a project manager.
- Experience in managing and implementing transformation initiatives, including IT-led projects, or an activity workstream, having utilized formal methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, and Agile, within the last 3-5 years.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Experience in program and project delivery management tools (e.g. MS Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA).
- The ability to demonstrate integrity, personal leadership and teaming.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Good understanding of project governance and change management principles
- Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross functional teams and foster a positive team environment.
- Training and certifications in Program and Project Management such as, but not limited, Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalent qualifications.
- Supported and mentored project teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance in program and project delivery.
- Knowledgeable in the operating model of the following sectors: Government & Public Sector, Financial Services, Consumer Product and Retail, IT-BPM, Heath & Life Sciences, Technology, Media & Entertainment and Telecommunications, and Industrials & Energy.
- Flexible and is willing to work in client sites within or beyond Metro Manila.
