  • Interfacing with sales& marketing department and its internal and external clients on the technical aspects of product development;
  • Working hand-in-hand with logistics group in developing alternative raw materials.
  • Working hand-in-hand with production department regarding machine trial runs of the alternative raw materials and samples as requested by client/suppliers.
  • Working closely with sales & marketing group for product development requests of client.
  • Supervising the production of prototype laminates in accordance with the specifications/ requirements written on the SRF (Sample Request Form).
  • Providing alternative/improvement studies in the material and/or process and recommends appropriate modification and changes.
  • Estimating costs of R&D projects and setting the quality standards based on research & development studies and analysis.
  • Ensuring that the research & development projects are cost effective.
  • Providing customer with technical information with regards to the required processing conditions and specifications of a flexible materials/laminates.
  • Providing process parameters on the approved trial runs.
  • Preparing reports and recommendations on the trial runs made.
  • Providing recommendations on what PE combinations to be used for a particular item.
  • Formulating and preparing lists of recommended adhesives and summary of PE film to be used.
  • Preparing IPS (Internal Product Specification) as technical reference for production run.
