About the role

DL Public Relations is seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager - Mandarin Speaker to join our dynamic team in Metro Manila. As a vital member of our PR and Corporate Affairs division, you will be responsible for delivering strategic communications and public relations campaigns to elevate our client's brand presence and reputation.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies and integrated communications plans to support client objectives
  • Leverage your Mandarin language skills to build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and influencers in the Chinese market
  • Generate high-impact media coverage through targeted pitching, press releases and media events
  • Monitor, analyse and report on media performance and campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with the broader marketing and client teams to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging
  • Provide counsel and recommendations to clients on crisis communications and reputation management
  • Mentor and guide more junior members of the PR team

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' demonstrated experience in executing successful PR campaigns, preferably within an agency environment
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal) is essential
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong media relationships, particularly in the Chinese media landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling content
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-driven approach
