Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing on-site execution of construction works, ensuring that contractors follow the developer's quality standards, design intent, project timelines, and safety requirements. This role serves as the developer's representative on-site, ensuring the project is delivered according to specifications, cost targets, and schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Construction Supervision

  • Monitor and evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and contract agreements.
  • Review construction methodologies, site procedures, and work sequences proposed by the contractor.
  • Validate completed works for acceptance and accomplishment billing.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct site inspections for structural, architectural, and civil works (e.g., excavation, formworks, rebar, concreting, masonry, finishing).
  • Enforce developer quality standards and ensure compliance with:
  • Local government ordinances and permitting requirements
  • Participate in quality audits, punch listing, and turnover inspections.

3. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with design consultants (architectural, structural, MEPF) to resolve technical issues and RFIs.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and third-party Project Management Consultants.
  • Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, surveyors.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily site reports, inspection requests and work progress documentation.
  • Assist in updating project schedules and identifying variances.
  • Support permitting and regulatory compliance requirements during construction.

5. Safety Oversight

  • Monitor contractor adherence to the Construction Safety and Health Program as mandated by DOLE.
  • Report safety violations or incidents to the Project Manager and Safety Officer.

6. Cost & Material Monitoring

  • Review contractor material submissions and ensure materials delivered conform to approved submittals.
  • Assist in validating quantity take-offs and material approvals.
  • Support project controls in verifying accomplishment for progress billing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Licensed Civil Engineer by (preferred).
  • Experience in vertical (buildings/condominiums) or horizontal (land development, roads, utilities) construction preferred.
  • Competent in reading plans, structural/architectural drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and basic scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera).
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
