Lean EngineerThe main responsibility of this position is to deliver quantifiable improvement results in the form of Quality, Safety, Delivery & Cost within the assigned Value Stream.
About the job:
- Utilizing Value Stream Mapping, drive continuous improvement across Production/Administration processes in the areas of Quality, Safety, Delivery & Cost through Kaizens & Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Provide leadership in the execution of projects within the assigned Value Stream. Provide project expertise in the form of Lean Six Sigma tools & methodologies.
- Review and monitor project progress to assure quality and adherence to project and company objectives.
- Mentor Lean Small Group Activities, projects & events
- Support a Lean specialty sub-committee and become a Subject Matter Expert in the focused area.
- Personal development through LF training, self-improvement research, and benchmarking / networking activities
- Ad-hoc support of ongoing Continuous Improvement initiatives as needed
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or a combination of relevant experience and/or formal training)
- 2+ years of experience in the same capacity
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong ability to communicate across different levels and across departments of the organization
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Strong systems perspective
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage
- Lean knowledge or experience is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
