Qualifications for Automotive Technician

  • Educational Background:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal automotive training program or vocational school (Associate's degree in Automotive Technology preferred).
  • Certifications:
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is highly desirable, but not necessary
  • Experience from Manufacturer-specific certifications can enhance qualifications (e.g., Ford, GM, Honda) is advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician or in a related role (typically 1-3 years).
  • Experience working with various vehicle makes and models.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, etc.).
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
  • Knowledge:
  • Understanding of automotive technology, repair techniques, and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and new technologies.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to explain technical issues to customers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in a workshop.
  • Licenses:
  • A valid driver's license is typically required.
  • Additional NC11 certificate is advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
