Job description

The Pharmacy Assistant provides support to the pharmacist by helping to prepare prescriptions, interacting with patients, managing inventory, and performing various administrative tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a solid understanding of pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prescription Preparation:

  2. Assist in the preparation and labeling of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.

  3. Ensure the correct quantity and dosage of medications.

  4. Pack and label prescriptions accurately.

  5. Customer Service:

  6. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

  7. Handle customer inquiries about medications, health products, and other services.

  8. Process transactions using the pharmacy's point-of-sale (POS) system.

  9. Inventory Management:

  10. Monitor and manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and ordering supplies.

  11. Check for expired medications and remove them from inventory.

  12. Maintain accurate records of stock and perform regular inventory audits.

  13. Administrative Duties:

  14. Maintain patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.

  15. Assist with billing and insurance claims processing.

  16. Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and answering phone calls.

  17. Compliance and Safety:

  18. Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and standards.

  19. Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and secure.

  20. Follow safety protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.

6.Team Support:

  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other team members.

  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the pharmacist.

Qualifications:

  • College Graduate of Pharmacy or Any Medical Course
  • With NC III in Pharmacy is Advantage
  • 3 months above experience in a Pharmacy Store.
  • Willing to be assigned in Taguig.
