Job Description

The F&B Supervisor oversees daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional Japanese fine-dining service standards. This role supervises service staff, maintains authentic and elevated guest experiences, ensures proper food and beverage handling, and supports the Restaurant Manager in delivering smooth, efficient, and culturally respectful service.


Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Experience
  • Ensure refined, attentive, and personalized service aligned with Japanese dining etiquette
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, preparation styles, and beverage pairings (sake, tea, wine)
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and service recovery with professionalism
  • Ensure table settings, pacing, and service flow meet fine-dining standards
Team Supervision & Training
  • Supervise servers, hosts, and runners during shifts
  • Train staff on Japanese service rituals, proper dish descriptions, and presentation styles
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings on menu changes, specials, and cultural service notes
  • Monitor grooming standards and staff performance
Operations & Coordination
  • Oversee floor operations, ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and service
  • Support reservations, seating management, and guest flow
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Monitor inventory of service wares, linens, and specialty Japanese dining equipment
Quality Control & Standards
  • Ensure consistency in service rituals such as oshibori presentation, tea service, and dish progression
  • Inspect dining areas for cleanliness, ambiance, and readiness
  • Assist with menu knowledge updates and beverage pairing recommendations
Administrative Duties
  • Assist in scheduling, timekeeping, and staff allocation
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in operational reports and improvements
  • Handle POS operations, bill settlements, and shift-end procedures

Qualifications
  • Experience in fine dining service; Japanese restaurant experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, etiquette, and beverages
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and guest-handling skills
  • Ability to maintain calm, precision, and grace under pressure
  • Attention to detail and commitment to elevated service standards
  • Preferrable female with Japanese background
