About the role ….

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Accountant with a strong background in Australian accounting and tax compliance. The successful candidate will have at least 2+ years of Australian accounting experience and the ability to prepare financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documents to review stage with minimal review points. You will be working across a diverse client base, including Individuals, Companies, Trusts, and Family Groups, and will gain exposure to complex areas of Australian taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, BAS, and IAS to review stage with high accuracy.
  • Work across different entity types including Individuals, Companies, Trusts, and Family Groups.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Apply knowledge of Div7A, FBT, and CGT in preparing accurate tax outcomes for clients.
  • Liaise with managers and clients where required, ensuring all deliverables are completed within deadlines.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail to minimize review points.
  • Contribute to process improvement and efficiency within the accounting team.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Minimum 2+ years of Australian accounting experience.
  • Proven ability to prepare compliance work (Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, BAS, IAS) to review stage.
  • Solid understanding of Div7A, FBT, and CGT.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and professional correspondence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with FYI, MYOB, and Ignition will be highly regarded but not essential.
