Job Role Summary/Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity for a tax accountant to play a pivotal role in a business acquisition and ongoing operations. You'll be instrumental in conducting financial due diligence, navigating the complexities of a business purchase, and establishing robust accounting practices for the new ownership.

Job Highlights

  • Hourly Rate: Approximately PHP 850
  • Paid Hours per Week: 20
  • Schedule: Flexible | Wauchope, NSW, AU

  • Work Arrangement: Work from home

  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an "Independent Contractor" arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of existing business books and financial records to support the acquisition process

  • Provide expert guidance on the financial aspects of the business purchase transaction

  • Ensure full compliance with Australian tax regulations and requirements

  • Prepare and review tax returns in accordance with local, state, and federal tax laws

  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify tax optimization opportunities and mitigate potential risks

  • Deliver strategic tax planning advice to inform critical business decisions

  • Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities and represent the company during any audit processes

  • Provide ongoing accounting and tax services to support business growth post-acquisition

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

  • CPA or ACCA certification strongly preferred

  • Proven experience working with Australian businesses and comprehensive knowledge of Australian tax compliance requirements

  • Qualified to practice accounting in Australia

  • Proficiency with accounting software, with Xero experience highly valued

  • Experience with business acquisitions or due diligence processes preferred but not essential

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
