We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure that supports analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, managing large-scale datasets, and optimizing data workflows using GCP-native tools and open-source technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage
  • Design and maintain data models, schemas, and partitioning strategies for efficient querying and storage
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes using Python, SQL, and Apache Beam
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver clean, reliable datasets
  • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement CI/CD practices
  • Maintain documentation and support audit/compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 1 year focused on GCP
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data pipeline frameworks
  • Experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Cloud Functions
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, real-time streaming, and workflow orchestration
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
