We are currently looking for experienced OUTPATIENT CODERS to be part of our team

Job Description

As an Outpatient Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing and coding medical records for outpatient encounters, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate coding for insurance billing, reimbursement, and patient care services.

Work set-up

- Morning shift

- WFH AFTER TRAINING

Key Responsibilities

  • Review medical charts and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient visits, including ED, physician visits, and ambulatory surgical procedures.
  • Ensure codes are assigned in compliance with all applicable regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation when necessary.
  • Work with claims teams to resolve any coding-related issues and ensure timely submission of claims.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, insurance regulations, and healthcare industry practices.
  • Participate in regular quality assurance checks to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate reports related to coding productivity, compliance, and billing status.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Medical Allied graduate
  • Must have an active Coding license from AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, COC, CCS etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Proficient in EHRs and encoder tools such as 3M, EPIC, Cerner, etc.
  • Understanding of medical necessity guidelines and national correct coding initiative (NCCI) edits, LCD/NCD coverage rules.
  • Must have at least 2 year experience in any of the ff ;

– Testing (PRC coding)

– Endo/Gastroenterology (PRC coding)
