The Inventory Auditor is responsible for monitoring, verifying, and reconciling inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. This role helps maintain proper stock levels, prevents discrepancies, and supports smooth supply chain and store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular and random audits of inventory across warehouses, stockrooms, and retail locations.
  • Verify product counts against system records and identify variances.
  • Investigate discrepancies, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate with store, warehouse, and finance teams to resolve stock issues.
  • Prepare and submit audit reports to management in a timely manner.
  • Assist in implementing inventory control systems and best practices.
  • Monitor stock movements to prevent shrinkage, theft, or mismanagement.
  • Support annual physical inventory counts and cycle counts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in inventory management, auditing, or related field is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory software or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to different store/warehouse locations if required.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability.
