We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and develop a high-performing sales team. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales operations, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business growth.
Sales Strategy & Planning Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives and market conditions. Set short- and long-term sales goals, revenue targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
Create scalable processes that support the sales organization and drive sustainable growth. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team (including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management). Set individual sales targets and help team members achieve them through guidance and support.
Foster a positive and high-energy sales culture that values transparency, accountability, and results. Revenue Growth & Forecasting Drive revenue growth by expanding into new markets, increasing customer base, and optimizing upsell/cross-sell strategies. Own sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management to ensure consistent and predictable revenue generation.
Analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets. Customer Relationship Management Build strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts. Work with customer success and support teams to ensure a seamless post-sale experience.
Represent the voice of the customer to other departments and participate in product/service feedback loops. Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment Work closely with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations teams to align sales efforts with company initiatives. Coordinate go-to-market strategies, product launches, and demand generation campaigns with marketing.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure sales insights inform product development. Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure Oversee negotiation of major contracts and complex deals. Ensure compliance with pricing policies, discount structures, and terms of service.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to manage risk and contractual obligations. Executive Reporting Report regularly to the executive team and/or board of directors on sales performance, forecasts, and strategy execution. Present strategic recommendations and business insights to drive key decisions.
Job Requirements: 8–15 years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B and/or B2C environment (tailor based on your business). Experience scaling sales teams in fast-paced or high-growth companies.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate high-level goals into executable plans. Experience entering new markets or launching new products/services. #J-18808-Ljbffr
