Warehouseman

The Warehouseman plays a key role in ensuring the efficient operation a corporate furniture warehouse. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and maintaining stocks in its original and good condition. The Warehouseman also prepares items for assembly and delivery to the clients, ensuring they are handled with care and delivered on time.

This role is critical in supporting accurate inventory management and maintaining with quality and safety standards. The Warehouseman works closely with other teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of corporate furniture products.

KEY FUNCTIONS

· Receive, unload, and properly store incoming furniture and materials; inspect shipments for damage, loss, or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.

· Perform quality checks on outgoing products to ensure they are clean, complete, and damage-free before packing.

· Assemble items as assigned, following provided instructions and using the correct tools.

· Pick and prepare products for delivery or customer pickup, including packing, labeling, and loading items safely and efficiently.

· Wrap and prepare product samples for release; inspect returned samples for condition and report any damage to the supervisor.

· Assist customers and delivery personnel during pickups, ensuring professional, efficient, and courteous service.

· Maintain proper care and organization of tools and packing supplies, notify the supervisor when items are low or require restocking.

· Keep the warehouse, showroom, and assembly areas clean, organized, and free from hazards through regular cleaning and upkeep.

· Accurately record all product movements, incoming and outgoing.

· Participate in scheduled inventory counts and assist in reconciling stock levels, reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.

· Follow all safety guidelines and handling procedures during loading, unloading, assembly, and warehouse activities.

· Communicate any delays, issues, or needs to the Warehouse Supervisor or appropriate team members in a timely manner

· Cooperate with team members and follow instructions to meet daily operational goals.

· Support special tasks or projects as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor and Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or logistics

· Experience in handling furniture or large items is an advantage

· Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures (receiving, packing, stocking, assembly)

· Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

· Ability to work as part of a team

· Basic inventory logging skills

· Time management and ability to meet deadlines

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn

· Must be willing to work on-site full-time and be ready to be assigned to different work locations, as needed

· Commitment to cleanliness, safety and organization in the workplace
