Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Animal Science, Biology, and Animal related courses.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Has knowledge of animal behavior.
• Has strong empathy for animals.

Responsibilities:

• Assists veterinarians.
• Provides animal care by determining animal requirements.
• Conducts examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Performs intravenous line insertion/re-insertion, collection of diagnostic samples, and other procedures not requiring a veterinarian (i.e. wound cleaning/flushing/re-bandaging) of patient.
• Assist in pre-operative preparation of patients, prepare medication as instructed by Veterinarian
• Prepare and assist animals during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and/ or other treatments assigned by a veterinarian.
• Observe and analyze animal behaviors and conditions.
• Monitor patient's vital sign including but not limited to temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate, heart rate, blood pressure, neurologic status and mentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient wards.
• Maintains supplies, equipment and records.
• Assist feeding and monitoring specific types of food for patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
