Job Summary:

The Product Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving products from concept to production. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing to ensure products meet customer needs, regulatory standards, and business goals. The engineer will apply technical expertise to innovate, troubleshoot, and optimize product performance and cost.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead product design and development projects from concept through prototyping and production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, and cost analysis.
  • Create and review technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering documentation.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure product reliability and compliance.
  • Support manufacturing teams with process development and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and implement design improvements based on customer feedback and performance data.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience in product development, preferably in consumer electronics and soft good industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, CE, FDA) is a plus.
