With a blend of vigilance and compassionate service, you will be part of a team that represents the organization using a positive attitude in all interactions.

The officer balances security protocols with understanding and respect for those in the healthcare setting, upholding our commitment to safety, customer service, and supportive care, embodying our mission to protect and assist the people, property, and quality of our health system. Qualifications:Required:High School Diploma or GEDValid New Jersey Driver's License eligible for RWJBH insurance coverage

Ability to acquire de-escalation certification within ninety (90) days of hire

Preferred:At least one (1) year of customer service, security experience, or military service

Proficiency in keyboarding, data entry, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong verbal and written communication skills

Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Polish) are a plus but not required

Scheduling Requirements:Per DiemEssential Functions:Conduct patrols and monitor facilities to maintain security, indoors and outdoors as needed

Provide professional customer service while vigilantly addressing potential security threats

Manage access control, perform data entry, and use Microsoft Office for reporting and administrative tasks

Engage effectively with a diverse population using strong interpersonal skills

Perform weapon screening and enforce safety policies

Respond to emergencies and participate in crisis de-escalation using certified techniques

Other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change as needed
