Education & Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related field.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (if required in the country) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in import operations, shipping, freight forwarding, or customs clearance.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, tariff codes (HS Code), and trade compliance.
  • Familiar with INCOTERMS, bills of lading, import permits, certificates of origin, and other trade documentation.
  • Understanding of shipping schedules, port operations, warehousing, and delivery coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of ERP or logistics systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with shipping lines, brokers, suppliers, and government agencies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple shipments at once.

  • Proactive, reliable, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Problem-solving mindset, especially in handling delays, customs issues, or discrepancies.
  • Team player with a professional attitude.

  • Familiarity with Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and import duty exemptions.
  • Knowledge of bonded warehouse operations and special importation procedures.
  • Ability to speak or correspond in a foreign language is an advantage.
