Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with program management.
  • 8 years of experience with infrastructure work.
  • 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project.
  • Experience in management, engineering, and construction of data center or mission critical facilities.
  • Ability to communicate in Tagalog and English fluently to support partner relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical fields.
  • 10 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary construction projects encompassing civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls, security, fire safety, and IT/network infrastructure.
  • 10 years of experience with data center equipment and environments, including civil/structural components, electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling systems, controls, security, and fire protection systems.
  • Experience in design-build processes, associated agreements, and managing the planning and execution of data center design and build permitting.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, scheduling, task prioritization, achieving objectives and managing critical equipment procurement.


About the jobAs a Technical Program Manager, you will provide management of data centers at a single or multiple sites in the Philippines. You will be tasked with managing and coordinating the needs of multiple partner teams, while managing changes and maintaining a focus on keeping the project on schedule, budget, quality, and safety. You will manage technical projects in a changing industry. You will conceptualize and describe the delivery of a data center facility from start to commissioning and understand the nuances and risks that will need to be managed.



Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of data center design, engineering, and construction processes. This includes familiarizing with mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems, building management systems, and network infrastructure, as well as construction methodologies.
  • Manage the full project life-cycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and execution. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to Google's standards.
  • Work with various teams within the Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) organization, identify and resolve technical and logistical tests that arise during construction, and ensure minimum impact on project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of best practices, standards, and tools to improve the efficiency and predictability of data center construction. Align with the goals of teams like Facility Integrity Assessment (FIA) to create standardized and repeatable processes.
